Is Plastic Surgery in Phoenix Any Better Than Anywhere Else In USA?

Phoenix is a lovely place and the capital of Arizona. It is about two hundred years ago, in February 1881, that it had been incorporated as a city. Today it is the largest metropolitan city by way of population. Phoenix’ native name – in the Navajo language of the Western Apache – is Hoozdo or the ‘The place is hot’. This city attracts many tourists from the world over. Many come here for undergoing plastic surgery. Frankly, there is no specific reason for which people come to undergo plastic surgery in Phoenix. Judging from the general opinions, I think it is because the city is the capital of the State and hence, people believe they will get better amenities, better treatment, and better doctors than anywhere else in the State. Other than these, there is no particular reason why people do flock to Phoenix for plastic surgery.

Pricing and Variety

There are varieties of plastic surgery procedures done in Phoenix. Some of the common choices available are, bleharoplasty (eyelid lifting), breast enlargement, breast reduction, calf implants, body contouring, facial implants, thigh lifts, face-lifts, rhinoplasty, octoplasty among others. A good number of people are referred to Phoenix for plastic surgery by a doctor. This is actually reconstructive surgery that is recommended as a restorative measure post disfigurement caused by diseases, genetic malformations, etc. These would include breast restoration (after breast cancer treatment), skin grafting after burns, scar removals, tissue expansion, cleft palate repair, etc.

The plastic surgery is a very expensive procedure and comes with a good number of risks and side effects. Nonetheless, people choose to go through all the pain because it is important enough for them to look good. Of course, there are exceptions to the rule, as a girl who hit the headlines some 10 years ago because she wanted to undergo cosmetic surgery not because she wanted to beautify any aspect of her body, but rather make it ugly.

Her justification was that she was so fed up with the world treating her as a ‘beautiful object’ that she wanted to remove the reason of their distraction so they can see the real her. I do not remember the outcome – whether this girl got what she wanted or not, but put in the right context, this shows how important it is to a human being to feel good about themselves in order to live a fruitful life. This is actually, what the aim and function of plastic surgery is ultimately – to make people feel good about themselves and help insure them lead a normal life.
